Timber Lakes / Timber Ridge: read the bylaws before you vote
These pages are one homeowner's plain-English reading of the Association's bylaws and the proposed amendment. They are not legal advice. Check everything against the documents yourself; the bylaws and the proposal are linked below.
The board plans to put a package of bylaw amendments to a vote at the members' meeting on November 13, 2026. Some of it is required by Texas law. Some of it is not, and would make the board harder to replace and harder to question. These pages walk through all of it.
What is wrong with the 1969 bylaws we live under today, and what the proposed amendment does, or fails to do, about each problem.
Every proposed change in plain English: what it says, why the board likely wants it, and what to watch. Plus the November 13 timeline.
A records request and formal objection you can send to the board yourself. Fill in the brackets.
Why one neighbor is doing this and what he hopes comes of it.
A draft set of owner-written amendments in the board's own Current / Proposed / Why format, with the Texas statute behind each one. Also as a PDF.
